TV Travel on Lord Street is your typical travel agent, but that's exactly why I'm including it. Sometimes you just want to talk to a real person, especially if you're planning something a bit complex, like a multi-city trip or a cruise. I popped in last week to price up a trip to the Canaries and the fella behind the counter knew his stuff.

They're not going to be the cheapest option, let's be honest – the internet exists, and they have overheads. But for peace of mind and someone to sort things out if your flight gets cancelled, it can be worth the extra few quid. Plus, you're supporting a local business, which is always a good thing in my book. They've got a solid 4.5 stars from a couple of reviews online, so other folks seem happy enough with them too.
