Activities in Southport

Things to do in Southport range from the obvious (beach, Pleasureland, the pier) to the less expected. The Marine Lake Watersports Centre does paddleboarding, kayaking and sailing, good fun for adults and kids, no experience needed for most sessions.

Southport is well set up for cycling, the coastal path runs along the seafront and bikes are available to hire locally. It's a flat, easy ride with proper sea views.

For families, Pleasureland is the main draw alongside the beach. The Botanic Gardens in Churchtown have a small zoo and play areas, free entry and much less busy than the seafront on peak days.
