Marine Lake Southport
Marine Lake is 140 acres of flat, calm water right on the seafront. On a good day it looks like something from a different town. You can hire pedalos, take a boat trip, walk the path around the edge, or just sit at the cafe and watch the water. King's Gardens runs alongside it. Marine Drive car park is the closest, but it fills by 10am on a summer Saturday. Go early or park further back and walk. Free to access. Good for families, good on your own.
