Liverpool Road

Right, so you're heading to Formby and need to park up? Liverpool Road car park is your best bet if you're after something free. It's down in the south end of Formby, right on Liverpool Road (L37, if you're using the sat nav). It's not massive, so in peak season or on a sunny weekend, it can fill up pretty quickly, especially if the beach is calling.

It's a decent spot though, especially if you're planning on hitting the National Trust reserve or the beach down that way. It saves you a bit of a walk compared to parking up in the village itself. Plus, zero cost is always a winner, isn't it?

Just a heads up, being free, it's popular with dog walkers and families, so be prepared for a bit of activity. It's generally well-maintained, but you know how these things go — keep an eye out for the odd rogue puddle.

One last thing: get there early if you want a guaranteed space on a nice day, especially during school holidays. You might end up circling for ages otherwise!
