Alright, so if you're after a proper good haircut in town, and you're not messing about, check out Element5. They're right in the centre of Southport, easy to get to. They get a cracking 5.0 stars from 60 reviews on Google, which is saying something, isn't it? I've heard good things from a few of the lads down at the golf club, and they're fussy buggers.

They do all the usual stuff – cuts, colours, the whole shebang. Website looks decent enough, but I always prefer giving them a bell myself to get a feel for the place. Number's 01704 531195.

Opening times are a bit weird; they're shut Mondays and Tuesdays, then Wednesday to Saturday they're open 9 'til 5. So don't be rocking up on a Sunday expecting a trim, you'll be disappointed.

Give them a ring to book, especially if you want a Saturday appointment. They're popular, and you don't want to be waiting around all day.
