Need a trim or fancy a facial while you're in town? Hair & Beauty @ No 2 is a decent option right in the centre of Southport. I've not been myself, but my sister-in-law, Janet, swears by them for her highlights. She's pretty fussy, so that's saying something. They seem to do the usual stuff – cuts, colours, beauty treatments – and the prices are probably what you'd expect for the location.

The Google reviews are pretty solid, averaging about 4.5 stars from 12 reviews. That's a good sign, though not a huge sample size. It's independently owned, not a chain, which I always prefer. You get a more personal touch, you know?

They're open most days from 9 'til 5, but closed on Wednesdays and Sundays, so don't rock up then expecting a miracle. Give them a ring on 01704 232265 to book an appointment, especially if you're after something specific. They can get busy, especially Saturdays.
