Need your eyebrows doing sharpish? Or maybe a facial before a big night out? Then give Oh Beauty in Churchtown a bell on 01704 213333. They’re dead handy if you live this side of Southport. My sister-in-law swears by them for her nails.

It's a small, independent place and they seem to do a good job, judging by the 4.8 stars they've got on Google from 16 reviews. Not loads of reviews, mind, but still decent. Opening hours are pretty good too. They're open late a couple of nights in the week (Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays), which is useful if you're working. Plus, Saturdays they open at 9am, but shut at 4pm. Closed Sundays, of course.

Worth giving them a ring to book ahead, especially for weekends, as they get busy. Parking can be a bit tight around there on a Saturday, so give yourself a bit of extra time to find a spot.
