Polansky's Barber Shop & Toupee Centre

Alright, so if you're in Birkdale and need a trim, or maybe something more up top, Polansky's is the place. It's been around for years, a proper old-school barber shop but without being all trendy and overpriced. They do the usual cuts, obviously, but also toupees – hence the name. Don't knock it 'til you've tried it, eh?

They're dead reliable, open six days a week, even Saturdays 'til 4pm. Monday to Friday it's 8:30am to 5:30pm, so plenty of time to pop in. They've got a cracking good rating online, 4.8 stars from 59 reviews on Google last time I checked, which is pretty solid. People seem genuinely happy with the service.

It's not the fanciest place you'll ever see, but it's clean, friendly, and they know what they're doing. Plus, it's Birkdale, so you can always grab a coffee and a cake afterwards.
