Looking for a proper pampering? Woodlands Retreat Beauty in Ainsdale might be just the ticket. I've not been myself (being a bloke and all), but I know a few ladies who swear by it. They do all the usual stuff – facials, massages, manicures – that sort of thing. It's got a perfect 5-star rating on Google, but mind you, that's only from one review so far, so don’t go expecting miracles just yet! Still, everyone's got to start somewhere, right?

It's handily located in Ainsdale, so easy to get to if you're local or staying that way. They’re closed Mondays and Sundays, but open late on Thursdays and Fridays 'til 7pm, which is handy if you're working during the day. Otherwise, they're usually open 'til half five during the week and 4pm on Saturdays.

They seem to be appointment-only, so best to give them a ring on 07594 987708 to book something in. It's a residential area, so parking can be a bit tight sometimes – give yourself a few extra minutes to find a spot.
