Alright, so Halsall West End Cricket Club. Now, I'm not a massive cricket fan myself, but I know a good community spot when I see one. They've got a decent 4.5 stars on Google from 44 reviews, so people seem to like it. It's out towards Ormskirk, technically still Southport though, and it's definitely an outdoor thing, so weather-dependent.

Basically, if you're after a proper local cricket club, this is it. It's got that proper friendly vibe. It's not just for serious cricket players either; they have junior teams, so it's good if you want to get the kids involved in something sporty. It's mainly a summer thing, looking at their opening times – open Saturdays and Tuesday evenings.
