Hesketh Golf Club

Right then, Hesketh Golf Club. It's been around since 1885, so it's a proper institution in Southport. Loads of folks rate it highly – 4.6 stars from over 240 Google reviews ain't bad at all. It’s a championship-level links course, so if you're serious about your golf, this is definitely one to check out.

It's bang in the middle of town, which is handy. Being a golf course, it's obviously all outdoors, so best suited for decent weather – although you know what Southport weather can be like even in summer! It’s not really one for the kids unless they're already into golf, mind you. No playground or anything like that.

They’re open weekdays, 8:30am to 4:30pm, but closed weekends, which is a bit of a pain if you work during the week. Give them a ring on 01704 536897 to book a tee time. Best to book in advance, especially during the summer months.
