Southport Air Show

Right, so the Southport Air Show. It gets a solid 4.1 stars out of 5 on Google, from 370 reviews, so most people seem to enjoy it. It's definitely one for families – kids absolutely love seeing the planes do their thing over the sea. And you can’t miss it, it is right on the seafront.

The downside? Parking can be a total nightmare. Seriously, get there early, or even better, hop on the train. It drops you right into town, then it's a short walk to the beach.
