Southport Market

If you're peckish and can't decide what you fancy, Southport Market is a shout. It's got loads of different food stalls – everything from pizza and burgers to burritos and dim sum. It’s been done up nicely in the last few years, so it’s a decent place to spend an afternoon or evening. The Google reviews are pretty good too, 4.1 stars from over 1,800 reviews, so it's not just me that thinks it's alright!

It's all indoors, so good if the weather's not playing ball, and it's open year-round. They've got a bar in there too, so you can make an afternoon of it. It's definitely family-friendly during the day; lots of space for the kids to run around, and plenty of choice to keep everyone happy. Wednesdays and Thursdays it shuts at 9pm, but Fridays and Saturdays it's open till 10pm, and Sundays till 6:30pm. It's closed Mondays and Tuesdays, though, so don't go then!

It's right in the centre of town, so easy to get to. Parking can be a bit of a pain, especially on weekends, so maybe think about getting the train or bus.
