The Legh Arms

Alright, so you're looking for a decent pub in town? The Legh Arms is a solid shout. It's got a 4.6 average rating on Google from over a thousand reviews, which tells you something. It's not gonna blow your socks off, but it's reliable. Decent selection of beers, and the food is your standard pub grub – nothing fancy, but it fills a hole.

It's got more of a lively atmosphere than some of the quieter pubs around Lord Street. Not a crazy sports bar vibe, but you'll definitely hear the footy if it's on. They have outdoor seating too, which is a bonus when the sun's actually shining in Merseyside. Plus, they're dog-friendly, so if you're bringing your furry mate along for a walk, they're welcome. The Legh Arms is open every day from 12pm, closing at 11pm most nights, but 10pm on Sundays.

Price-wise, it's what I'd call mid-range. Not the cheapest pint in Southport, but not going to break the bank either. You're looking at around a tenner for a decent lunch. It’s in the town centre, so easy to get to, whether you're on foot or hopping off the train.
