Alright, if you're looking for a decent place to crash near the town centre, have a look at Beach House East Lodge. It's not the Ritz, mind, but it gets a solid 4.5 stars from over 70 reviews, so they must be doing something right. They're on the budget end of things, which is always welcome, and offer parking – a lifesaver in Southport, trust me.

It's a good shout if you're in town for a bit of golf; it's handy for Birkdale, and you'll probably save a few quid compared to staying right next to the course.
