About Botanic Mews
Right, so Botanic Mews. It's a decent little place for a Southport stay, especially if you're here for a bit of golf. It's not on the sea front, but it's a short walk into the town centre, so you're close to the shops and restaurants. I'd say it's more suited to couples or solo travellers than big families, just based on the size of the rooms.
It's got a solid 4.5-star rating from over 50 reviews, so people generally seem happy. I had a quick look, and they're open 24 hours, and the phone number is probably on their website. Anyway, if you're coming for the Open Championship at Birkdale in 2026, it's a good option if you don't want to be right in the thick of it โ town will be rammed, trust me.
They don't have parking on site, which is the only real downside. You'll need to find a space on the street or use one of the public car parks nearby. I'd recommend booking in advance, especially if you're coming during a busy time like the Air Show or, you know, when the world's best golfers are in town.
