Cresta Hotel

Right, so the Cresta Hotel. It’s slap bang in the town centre, which is handy for popping to Marks and Spencer or getting the train. The Google rating is a solid 4 stars, but only from 3 reviews so take that with a pinch of salt. I know a few golfers who've stayed there, and it's pretty close to a bunch of courses, so if you're here for a golf trip, it's a decent shout. Especially with The Open coming to Birkdale in 2026—book early, I reckon!

It's a proper old-school hotel, not one of those fancy modern places. From what I hear, it's more suited to couples or lads on a golf trip than big families with kids. I've never stayed myself, but I know a couple of people who have and they said it was clean and tidy, if a little dated.
