It's worth bearing in mind that Ormskirk is a bit further out than Churchtown or Birkdale, so you'll be relying on taxis or driving.

Now, if you're planning on coming up for The Open at Birkdale in 2026 (12th to 19th of July), this could be a good shout, especially if you want to avoid the madness of Southport itself. It's far enough away to be tranquil, but not so far you can't easily get to the golf.
