Heywood Glamping - Deluxe Apartment

Right, so Heywood Glamping. It's technically in Ormskirk, but it's properly close to Southport, so I'm including it. If you're coming for a few days and want something a bit different from the usual hotels on Lord Street, this could be your shout. It's got a perfect 5-star rating from 7 Google reviews, which is a pretty good sign someone's doing something right. And the price is good too.

It's more of a couples or smaller family kind of place, I reckon, judging from the photos. Nice countryside location and it's an apartment, so you've got your own space to chill out. It's not right next to the beach, but it's an easy drive into town. If you're thinking of coming to Southport for The Open at Royal Birkdale in 2026 (July 12-19), this is a decent option if you don't mind being a little further out.
