Right then, The Secret Garden Glamping at La Mancha Hall... it's technically Ormskirk, but it's on the Southport side, so I'm including it. If you're after something a bit different from your standard hotel, this could be a good shout. Now, glamping isn't for everyone, is it? But if you like the idea of a bit of luxury in the great outdoors, this could be ideal, especially for couples I reckon. If you're coming up for The Open at Birkdale in 2026 (12-19 July), it's a decent option, though you'll need to book well in advance, obviously. It's a bit further out than staying right in Southport, but the peace and quiet might be worth it.

I had a nosey at their website – these bell tents look pretty swanky, not like the camping I did as a kid! They seem to cater for families too, but I reckon it's more suited to couples wanting a relaxing getaway. It's not somewhere you'll be able to walk to the beach from, so you'll definitely need a car.
