Car park

Okay, so you're heading to Ainsdale beach and need somewhere to ditch the car. This car park is on the beach side of the Coastal Road (that's the A565, for those not in the know), postcode JW4R+RX if you're using your sat nav. It's pay-and-display, so bring some change or be prepared to use the app.

Now, I'm not gonna lie, this place isn't winning any awards. It's got a 2.0 rating from 1 review on Google. I've used it myself a few times and it's basically just a patch of ground. It can get pretty rammed on sunny weekends and during school holidays, so get there early or be prepared to queue.

It's convenient for the beach though, especially if you've got kids and all the gear that comes with them. You're right on the sands in a couple of minutes. Plus, it's way better than trying to park on the residential streets nearby – the locals will thank you for it!

Just a heads up – keep an eye out for the signs when you arrive, as the parking charges can change depending on the time of year.
