Alright, so you're heading to Formby beach, yeah? Listen up, because parking can be a proper pain. Forget battling for a space on Victoria Road – head straight to Park Road. It's free, which is always a bonus, isn't it? It's right near the National Trust site, so dead handy for the beach and the woods.

Now, don't get me wrong, it's not exactly a secret. On sunny weekends, especially during school holidays, it fills up fast. Like, REALLY fast. You'll be queuing down the road if you rock up after 11am on a Saturday in July. But if you're early, or it's a weekday, you'll be golden. It's just a field, basically, but it's a field where you can leave your car without paying a fortune.

Honestly, for a free car park, it's not bad. It’s just a short walk to the beach through the pinewoods, which is lovely. Just remember where you parked! They all look the same after a few hours.

One tip: if it’s been raining, wear decent shoes. It can get a bit muddy, especially near the entrance.
