Co-op Car Park, Ainsdale

If you're nipping to Ainsdale shops, the Co-op car park is pretty handy, and free if you're actually using the Co-op. It's right next to the Co-op Food store on Station Road, so you can't miss it.

It's not massive, so it can get a bit busy around lunchtime and after school, especially on Saturdays. But if you're just popping in for a pint of milk or a paper, you should be able to find a space without too much bother. It's open 24/7, which is useful if you're catching a late train from Ainsdale station nearby.

Obviously, don't take the mickey and park there all day if you're not using the Co-op – that's just not cricket. Plus, they do have cameras, so I wouldn't risk it.

Remember your blue badge if you need disabled parking, and try to park considerately – it gets a bit tight sometimes.
