About Londis

Okay, so Londis on Lord Street... right in the centre of town. If you're desperate for a pint of milk or a newspaper, and you're already right there, then fair enough. It's a shop. I wouldn't go out of my way, put it that way.

Now, I'm not going to lie, the Google reviews aren't exactly glowing – it's sitting at a 1.5 out of 5 from 4 reviews last time I looked. So temper your expectations, yeah? It's a convenience store, not Fortnum & Mason. You'll find the usual bits and bobsβ€”snacks, drinks, maybe a sandwich if you're lucky. It saves you a trip to a bigger shop, I guess.

Opening hours are usually pretty standard for a convenience store, but best to double-check if you're planning a late-night run for crisps. Can't hurt to have a backup plan either, there's a Tesco Express not too far away if you're heading towards the train station.

Just a heads up: parking around Lord Street can be a pain, so if you're driving, factor in some time to find a spot. Or better yet, walk!
