Looking for a decent beauty spot in town? Claire & Beauty on Lord Street is worth a shout. It’s got a solid 4.8 stars from 23 reviews online, so people seem pretty happy with it. I know a few of the girls go there for nails and say they’re always spot on.
It isn't the cheapest, mind, but you get what you pay for, right? They do all the usual stuff – waxing, facials, that sort of thing – but I reckon their nail work is where they really shine. Plus, it's dead easy to get to, being right on Lord Street.
They're open Tuesday to Saturday, 9:30 to 5:30, so pretty standard hours. Give them a ring on 07944 882666 to book in; they're usually pretty busy, especially on Saturdays.
