Alright, so you're serious about getting in shape, eh? CTC Strength and Fitness in Southport town centre is a solid option. It’s got a perfect 5.0 rating from 14 reviews, which is always a good sign – people seem genuinely happy. I know a few lads who swear by it for getting ready for footie season.

They're open early doors, 6am weekdays, which is great if you want to get a session in before work. They're open till 8pm most nights too. Saturdays they shut up shop a bit earlier, at 1pm, and they're closed on Sundays. I haven't personally used it, but I've heard it's got a good mix of equipment and the trainers know their stuff.
