Level Up Gym

If you're looking for a proper gym in Southport town centre, Level Up is well worth checking out. It's got a cracking 4.9 stars out of 5 on Google, from over 140 reviews, which says a lot. It's not one of those fancy places with a spa, but if you're serious about training, it's got everything you need.

They're open super early and pretty late most days (6am to 10pm, Monday to Thursday) which is handy if you're trying to fit a workout around work. Fridays and weekends are a bit shorter, but still decent. You can find their timetable on their website if you need to check anything.

It's a no-nonsense kind of place, and the staff seem sound enough whenever I've popped in. They have all the usual equipment, plus some extras for more specialised training. Give them a ring on 01704 537703 if you're unsure about something specific, they're pretty good at answering the phone.

Parking around there can be a bit of a pain, especially during the day, so factor that in. There are a few pay-and-display spots, but sometimes you have to drive around a bit.
