Alright, so you're looking for a decent salon in town? Check out MiSalon on Lord Street. It's not been there donkey's years or anything, but it's got a proper buzz about it. Loads of my mates swear by it, and the Google reviews are spot on – 5 stars from 23 reviews, which is pretty impressive going.

They do all the usual stuff: cuts, colours, the whole shebang. I'm no expert on perms or balayage, mind you, but the ladies I know come out looking a million dollars. It's run by Michelle, who seems a really sound woman. Give her a bell on 07735 099968 if you're thinking of booking.

It's dead easy to find, right on Lord Street near Boots. You can have a butchers at their website too, it's mi-salon.wixsite.com/welcome. I'd say it's worth booking in advance, especially on a Saturday, as they get pretty busy.

Parking on Lord Street itself is a nightmare, but you can usually find a spot on one of the side streets if you're patient or use one of the town centre car parks.
