Alright, so you're looking for a free workout? Bedford Park's got you covered with its outdoor gym area. It's not exactly a David Lloyd, mind you, but for a no-cost option in the middle of Southport, it's not bad at all. Open every day from 7 AM to 10 PM, so you can get your sweat on pretty much whenever you fancy. I’ve seen some folks giving it decent reviews, so clearly it's hitting the spot for some. I would say that it can get busy when the weather is nice, so you might have to wait your turn on some of the equipment. If you're already heading to the park with the kids or the dog, you might as well give it a go, eh?

It’s right next to the golf course, so if pumping iron isn’t your thing, you can always try your hand at a round. Sefton Council keeps the park pretty well maintained, so it's usually in good nick.
