REALTALK BARBERSHOP

Need a trim and a proper chat? Head to REALTALK BARBERSHOP in town. I've been going there since they opened up a few years back. They're not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for. I always see the same lads in there, so they must be doing something right. Google reviews are sitting pretty at 4.8 stars from nearly 50 reviews, which is always a good sign.

The guys there are sound and they actually listen to what you want – unlike some places where you end up looking like you've stuck your finger in a light socket. They're open late a few nights during the week (until 8pm on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday) which is handy if you're working. They're even open early on Saturdays, from 7:30am until 2pm, if you want to get cleaned up before the match.

It's a proper barbershop experience, not one of those trendy salons that charge a fortune. They do all the usual stuff – cuts, beard trims, the whole shebang. I think you can book online via their website if you're organised.

Just a heads up, parking in town can be a pain, especially on Saturdays. Give yourself plenty of time to find a space or just hop on the train.
