Turkish golden cut

Need a trim in town? Turkish Golden Cut on Lord Street is where I head when I can't be bothered trekking out to Birkdale. It's not the biggest place, but they do a proper job. They've got a good rep locally too – 4.7 stars from 14 Google reviews ain't bad going.

They do all the usual stuff – cuts, beard trims, hot towel shaves… you know the drill. The lads in there are sound, always up for a bit of a laugh. It's a relaxed atmosphere, which is what you want, isn't it? Plus, they're open seven days a week, 'til 6pm most nights and 7pm on Fridays and Saturdays. Sunday's are 10 'til 6.

Parking can be a pain on Lord Street, so give yourself a bit of extra time to find a spot, or just hop on the train – it's only a five-minute walk from Southport station.
