Terry's view

PR8 5 is the odd one out in the PR8 district. It's part Southport suburb, part rural Lancashire — the sector extends south toward Scarisbrick through flat agricultural land. The town-facing residential streets offer decent housing at good value: you get more space per pound than the PR8 4 equivalent. But there's no train station within the sector, and in the Scarisbrick end, a car is not optional. Properties here attract buyers who want land, quiet, and value, and who understand the trade-off. Schools serving the area come from both the Birkdale side and, for families further south, Scarisbrick. It's not for everyone, but if space and value are priorities over walkability, PR8 5 is worth considering.
