Busy Bee

Right then, Busy Bee in Birkdale. Don't let the website fool you, it's not a restaurant for adults. It's actually a daytime nursery, but I'm adding it because it's got a perfect 5.0 rating on Google from 8 reviews, and that's worth something. If you're new to Southport with little ones, finding childcare can be a nightmare.

It's open really early, 7:30am, which is handy if you're heading out to work. They shut at 6pm weekdays and are closed weekends, so it's definitely aimed at working parents. I've not got kids myself, but I know a few folks in Birkdale who use it and seem happy enough.

It's in a decent spot in Birkdale, easy enough to get to. Give them a ring on 01704 551550 if you want to have a chat, or check out their website—it's a bit corporate, but it's got all the official stuff.

Bear in mind it's a nursery, so don't turn up expecting a quiet coffee!
