Chatsworth Lounge

If you're after a decent night out near the sea, Chatsworth Lounge is worth a look. It's right on the front so you can't miss it. The music is usually pretty good – covers bands and local acts mostly. It's got a bit of a lively atmosphere, can get a bit rowdy later on, especially weekends. Definitely not a quiet pint kind of place.

It's more of a cocktail bar vibe than a local pub, if you get me. They do show some sports, but it's not really a dedicated sports bar. I've not seen any dogs in there, so I'd guess they're not allowed.

I wouldn't say it's the cheapest place for a pint, but it's not outrageous either. I'd give it a 3.8 out of 5 based on what I've heard around town. Seems like most people have a decent time, but it's not everyone's cup of tea.

They're open until midnight most nights (call to double check on 01704 536888). If you're driving, parking can be a pain around there, especially on a Saturday night. Give yourself some extra time to find a spot.
