The Conservatory Bar, right on the Southport seafront, gets a 3.5 stars from 19 reviews online, so it's not knocking anyone's socks off, but it's a decent option if you're already down by the sea. You can give them a ring on 01704 533771 to see if they're showing the match, but it's more of a cocktail bar vibe than a proper sports pub from what I've heard. I've not brought the dog myself, but I've seen a few in there.

It's not exactly my usual haunt, being more cocktails and less real ale, but it's a handy spot if you want a drink after a walk along the front. It can get a bit lively on weekend nights, so keep that in mind if you're looking for a quiet pint. Bit more of a poshed-up place, if you know what I mean.
