It's your typical Ember Inns place, so think decent pub grub at reasonable prices (££). The atmosphere's usually pretty lively, especially on weekends, but it's more of a relaxed, chatty vibe than a rowdy sports bar. Definitely a good local spot.
One of the better things about The Crown is that they're dog-friendly, so you can bring your furry mate along for a pint. Not every pub in Birkdale lets you do that.
Worth noting that parking in Birkdale Village can be a pain, especially on Saturdays. Give yourself a bit of extra time to find a spot, or maybe just get the train.
