Village Fish & Chips

Alright, so you're after some decent scran in Birkdale? Village Fish & Chips is getting rave reviews – a perfect 5.0 from 6 reviews on Google. Now, I know what you're thinking, "only 6 reviews, Terry?", but sometimes the little guys are the best, aren't they? It's proper chippy grub, nothing fancy, but done right.

They're only open evenings most of the week, from 4:30 until half 8, except Fridays and Saturdays when they open a bit later. They even do a lunchtime service on Fridays, midday 'til 2. I reckon it's spot on for a quick bite with the kids after school, or a casual tea for couples. It's that kind of place – no frills, just good food.

It's a small place, so I'd say if you're planning on going on a Friday or Saturday evening, especially with the family, give them a ring on 01704 565659 to see if you can book a table. It gets busy, and nobody wants to be stood outside twiddling their thumbs when they could be tucking into some haddock and chips!
