Cambridge Road Cafe & Bar

Cambridge Road Cafe & Bar is a solid shout if you're after a decent coffee and a bite in town. It's got a really good rep online – 4.7 stars from nearly 150 Google reviews, which is saying something. I've popped in a few times myself and always found it reliable.

They do a nice selection of cakes and your usual cafe fare. Good for a quick stop if you’re just passing through, but equally decent if you want to sit and chat for a bit. Definitely a good option if the weather turns – we all know how Southport can be! It’s not the cheapest, mind you – I’d say it’s a mid-range price, but the quality is there.

You can find them right in the town centre. They're open every day, but close up a bit earlier on weekends, around 3pm. Weekdays they're open 'til 4pm. Give them a ring on 01704 226674 if you want to check anything.

One thing to remember: it can get pretty busy around lunchtime, especially on Saturdays, so maybe aim for a slightly earlier or later visit to avoid the rush.
