HARP coffee and games? Right in the town centre. I’ve popped in a few times, and it's got a proper different vibe. If you need a break from the shops, but want something a bit more interesting than just another coffee, this is your spot. It’s got a perfect 5-star rating from nearly 50 reviews, which is saying something.

They've got all the usual cafe bits - coffee, tea, cakes, that sort of thing - but the big draw is the games. Loads of board games you can play while you're there. So yeah, great if the weather's turned and you need to kill a couple of hours. It’s probably a bit more of a sit-down place than a quick in-and-out job, to be honest.

It's open most days, but closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays, so don't go then! Thursday they're open late until 8pm, which is handy. You can give them a ring on 07581 175832 if you are curious about something.

Worth checking their website too, harpcoffeeandgames.co.uk, to see if they've got any special events on. They're on the small side, so might be worth booking ahead if you're going with a big group, especially on a weekend.
