Pausa Cafe

Alright, so Pausa Cafe. It's in the Dunelm on Meols Cop Retail Park, so dead handy if you're already there browsing for curtains or whatever. It's a decent shout for a quick coffee and a cake if the weather's turned proper Southport on you. They do a alright latte, and the cakes are usually pretty fresh.

Don't go expecting a gourmet experience, mind. It's a cafe in a furniture shop, like. But the Google reviews are sitting at 4.5 stars from 4 reviews, so it seems people are generally happy. They're open every day, usually from 9am until 5pm, but close a little later on Saturdays (5:30pm) and open later on Sundays (11am). Dog-friendly too, which is a bonus for some.

It's definitely more of a quick pitstop than somewhere to settle in for hours, like you might at Remedy. But if you need a caffeine fix and you're already there, you could do worse. They have a phone number too, if you need it: 01704 538855.

One thing to remember: it can get pretty busy during peak times, especially weekends. So, maybe try to hit it outside of lunchtime if you want a guaranteed seat.
