Southport Pier Pavilion

Alright, so you're down Southport prom and fancy a cuppa? Southport Pier Pavilion is your shout. It's basically right at the end of the pier, so you can't miss it. Got a decent 3.9 stars from 82 Google reviews last time I looked, so it’s not awful, not amazing, just solid. They do teas and coffees, the usual cafe stuff. It works for a quick stop while you're doing the pier, but there's not loads of space to properly settle in for hours.

They've got some outdoor seating which is great when the sun's out – and it's dog-friendly if you've got your pooch with you. Inside is alright, but let's be honest, on a wet day in Southport, everywhere's rammed! Might be a squeeze if it's lashing it down. Good access to the pier attractions, obviously, but not a destination in itself.

I wouldn’t say they are known for their cakes, but they do have a few options if you need a sugar fix. Coffee's decent enough, gets the job done. Give them a ring on 07402 339095 if you need to check opening times, they can vary a bit, especially out of season.

Just a heads up: you’re paying for the location, being on the pier and all that. Don't expect rock-bottom prices!
