Right, so Brandons Southport. It's a hotel bang in the middle of town, which is handy. I looked them up – 4.5 stars from over 300 reviews, which is a decent score. Seems like they're doing something right. I know a few golfers who've stayed there, especially when the Open's on at Birkdale.

Speaking of which, the Open's back at Royal Birkdale in 2026 (12th to 19th of July), so if you're coming to Southport for that, you might want to get your booking sorted early. Brandons is a good shout for that, being so central. It’s got a bit of a reputation as a couples' place, mind, so maybe not ideal if you're bringing the whole family.
