Location-wise, you're laughing. Five minutes and you're on Lord Street, browsing the shops or grabbing a pint. The beach is a short walk, too – perfect for an evening stroll, even if it's a bit nippy. Now, if you're thinking of coming for The Open at Birkdale in 2026, this could be a good option if you book early. It's not right next door, but you can hop on the train and be there in 15 minutes. Definitely more suited to couples than families though, mind.

It's one of those places where you can park up and forget about the car, which is always a bonus in Southport. They're open all year round, so good for a last-minute thing.
