Right, so Molly's Cottage... let's be straight, it's got a 1-star rating on Google from one review, but sometimes these places can surprise you, yeah? It's on 01704 560018 if you want to give them a ring. It's right in the town centre, so dead handy for the shops and the train.

Now, if you're a golfer, it might be worth a look. They seem to be targeting golfers, especially with The Open at Birkdale in 2026 (12–19 July). It's not far from the course, so location-wise, it could be a winner if you’re just looking for a bed for the night. I wouldn't say it's the type of place you'd bring the kids, more suited to couples or lads on a golf trip, to be honest.

I haven't stayed myself, so I can't give a personal recommendation, but I know some people aren't too fussed about fancy stuff. Just something basic and close to the action. Do your research, read that review, and make your own mind up.
