If you're after a no-frills apartment right in the middle of Southport, Sandcroft Holiday Flats could be just the ticket. They get a solid 4.8 stars from 4 Google reviews, which isn't a massive sample size, but it's still a good sign. They're open every day from 10am to 8pm, so getting hold of them shouldn't be a problem. Give them a ring on 01704 537497.

Being in the town centre means you're close to the shops on Lord Street and the amusements on the pier. It's a decent spot if you're planning on spending most of your time out and about. I reckon it'd suit couples or maybe a small family looking for a base to explore from. Plenty of space.

Now, Southport gets pretty rammed when the Open's on at Royal Birkdale – and it's back here in Merseyside in 2026 (12-19 July) – so if you're thinking of coming then, book way ahead. Places fill up fast, and prices go up!
