But I've got a spot for you that might just save your bacon: it's a free car park right on Rotten Row in Birkdale. Yeah, I know what you're thinking—Birkdale's a bit of a trek. But trust me, it's walkable and usually has spaces when everywhere else is rammed.

It's about a 15-minute stroll into the main shopping area from there, maybe 20 if you're dawdling. Head down to the shops, or up to Hillside. I prefer parking up there and walking down. Plus, you're right near Birkdale Village, which is nice for a wander and a coffee. It's not huge, this car park, but it's free, and that's the main thing, isn't it?

Look, it's not the most convenient if you're planning on spending the whole day right by the pier, but if you're happy with a little walk, it's a lifesaver. Beats paying a fortune and circling for ages.
