Victoria Park Duck Lake

Alright, so Victoria Park Duck Lake. It's exactly what it sounds like, really – a lake in Victoria Park with ducks. Sounds simple, but if you've got kids, especially little ones, it can be a lifesaver. It’s right in the town centre so dead easy to get to. It's got a perfect 5-star rating on Google, but only from 2 reviews, so don't get too excited! Still, I reckon it's worth a look.

The park itself is decent, plenty of space for the kids to run around and chuck a ball. The lake's got loads of ducks (obviously) and some other birds hanging about. You can usually spot a heron if you're lucky. It's open from 8 in the morning till 6 in the evening, every day of the week. So, good for a morning or afternoon out.

Now, don't go expecting Blackpool Pleasure Beach. It's a duck lake in a park. But it's free, it's family-friendly, and it's a good way to burn off some energy. Plus, you're right in town so you can easily grab an ice cream or a coffee afterwards.

Just a heads up: parking around Victoria Park can be a bit of a pain, especially on weekends. Give yourself some extra time to find a spot.
