Alright mate, need somewhere to ditch the car down Formby way? Ennerdale Road car park is your shout. It's totally free, which is always a win, but be warned, on sunny weekends when everyone and their dog is heading to Formby beach, it fills up proper quick. Get there early doors if you want a space, especially during school holidays.

It's located right in Formby, postcode L37, just south of the main drag. So, you can easily stroll down to the shops for a chippy lunch or grab an ice cream before hitting the dunes. It's a decent size, but like I said, popular. Don't be surprised if you have to circle a bit waiting for someone to leave during peak times.

It's not a fancy car park or anything, just a straightforward place to park. But hey, free is free, and it saves you the hassle of trying to find a spot on the actual beach front, which can be a nightmare. Plus, you're closer to the village itself.

Just a heads up: there aren't any toilets on site, so plan accordingly. The nearest public loos are back towards the Formby village centre.
