Foul Ln Parking

Right, so you're driving into Southport and need somewhere to dump the car? If you're heading to Churchtown, Foul Ln Parking is a decent shout, and the best bit is it's free. It's just off the main drag on, you guessed it, Foul Lane. So you can get parked up and enjoy the village.

Now, being free, it gets busy, especially on weekends and sunny days when everyone flocks to see the Botanic Gardens or grab a pint at the Hesketh Arms. Don't expect to rock up at lunchtime on a Saturday in July and find a space waiting for you. You might have to circle a bit. It's not huge, but it does the job.

It's a proper car park, not just some bit of wasteland someone's decided to call parking, so that's a plus. It's also fairly well-maintained, so no massive potholes to worry about. Just be aware that it can get a bit muddy if it's been raining heavily.

One last thing: because it's Churchtown it can get very busy during school holidays and half-terms. So keep an eye on the local calendar.
