Meols Cop
Right then, Meols Cop car park. It's free, which is always a winner in my book, especially if you're planning on hitting Lord Street for a few hours. It's just off Meols Cop Road, so a short walk into the town centre. Say, five minutes to get to the shops.
Now, itβs not the fanciest car park you'll ever see, but it does the job. According to the Google reviews, it gets a 3.8 out of 5 from 12 reviews, so people aren't exactly raving about it, but hey, free parking in Southport is free parking. Don't expect pristine tarmac or anything.
It can get pretty busy, especially on weekends and during the Air Show. So, if you are heading there peak times, get there early to bag yourself a spot. It's open 24/7, so no worries about getting locked in.
Just a heads up: it can get a bit muddy if it's been raining, so maybe don't wear your best shoes.
